In addition to fly-in visitors, 2,979 showplanes were registered in categories ranging from Warbirds (377) to Vintage (1094), and including 1,160 Homebuilts. B-24  LIBERATOR  BOOK  AVAILABLE

Picture

Here's an in-depth look at the famed B-24 Liberator strategic bomber of World War II, published by McGraw-Hill and written by Frederick A. Johnsen. This 144-page book is available from Kindle; some Amazon vendors also have hardbound examples. Follow the rationale of a budget-starved prewar Air Corps as it sought to grow and ensure the success of its strategic bombardment capability. Fly with veterans high over Germany, or at the end of the bombers' range over Japanese-held oil refineries. Learn model differences, armament developments, foreign users, more... Well-illustrated with images discovered in archives and collections all over the United States, "B-24 Liberator -- Rugged But Right" fits a clear need in the marketplace. Amazon's offerings of this great title are at:
